With a couple of hours to kill before the start of the evening session, we took the opportunity to explore the amazing Olympic Park and visit the Sponsors stands.
On our way back towards the main area we are accosted by a presenter from NBC, who interviews us about what events we would like to see gold medals awarded for. His tack is to trivialise the Olympic medal, and he doesn’t like my view that medals should be awarded for true sporting endeavour. He ends up playing paper-stone-scissors with Bethany. I don’t know if the footage was used!
Beth and Verity had their pictures taken in the Kodak sponsors area. The resulting pins (with them in the Union Flag wear) were very nice.
