The STUART-THOMPSON dynasty came into being when the children of Walter Stuart THOMPSON were each given the Stuart name. Although these children's births were all registered as Stuart THOMPSON, their children were registered as STUART-THOMPSON. |
Walter's wife Ethel Frances CLARKE connects the family to the SYDENHAM family, whose linage can be traced back to William de SIDENHAM (born around 1125), and has a link, through marriage, to Francis DRAKE . |
The top of my reseach tree was Humphrey SYDENHAM whose father, also named Humphrey SYDENHAM is the link to the SYDENHAM family that owned the Brympton d'Evercy manor house near Yeovil in Somerset. I have now been given the connections to the Brimpton Sydenhams and have added them to the tree. |
